Traditional Rugs

Traditional rugs embody time-honored patterns, materials, and techniques.

Much of what is deemed traditional is rhetoric describing a universally recognizable, time-honored design style. As an industry definition, traditional rugs can be modern-day interpretations, as well as older rugs that utilize antique Oriental rug patterns rendered in classical color palettes.

A broader definition of “traditional” signifies historical references found in the design elements. Very often it speaks for the traditions held by the maker of the rug, as well. In our store, you will find that these rugs represent both new and old pieces, faithfully styled after the more classical forms that one might expect to see in older rugs.

The following are a few of our favorite examples that best exemplify the style.
